Linda Shim, Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Linda Shim was born and raised in southern California. She attended University of California, Berkeley for her undergraduate education. During her undergraduate education, Dr. Shim developed a passion and drive to be the voice of her furry companions after volunteering for several shelters, animal hospitals, and working closely in tandem with the Berkeley Humane Society.
She attended veterinary school at University of Davis, California in 2015 and was active in organizations, such as Canine Medicine Club and Mercer Clinic for the Pets of the Homeless, which was one of the most humbling and rewarding experiences for her.
After graduation, Dr. Shim completed a rotating internship at Animal Specialty Group in Glendale along with Dr. Min, who is our overnight emergency veterinarian. After completing her internship, Dr. Shim did many relief shifts for the emergency department in different specialty hospitals as well as general practice before joining full time at VCA TLC Animal Hospital.
Dr. Shim has particular interests in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, and neurology.
On her spare time, Dr. Shim enjoys hiking with her dog (Chloe) and her twin sister, watching movies, going to amusement parks with her friends or family, and sleeping for more than 12 hour.
