Adora Min, Staff Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Min grew up in Seoul, South Korea and Vancouver Island in BC, Canada. Prior to vet school she studied chemical engineering at the University of Waterloo in ON, Canada. She wanted to become a vet when I was in elementary school, but was discouraged due to poor academics. Dr. Min regained her interest during her undergrad when she realized digging up oilsands and extracting hydrocarbon was not as meaningful to her compared to helping animals and their people. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada. Shortly after, she went through a rotating internship program at a specialty referral hospital in Los Angeles, where she was trained by specialists in internal medicine, surgery, neurology, oncology and critical care.  During her veterinary training, she developed a strong interest in emergency medicine.  She joined the team at VCA TLC Animal Hospital in October 2016 as their emergency overnight veterinarian.  Outside of working hours, she enjoys spending time exploring Southern California, travelling, horseback riding, hiking, watching movies, thinking about food, long walks on the beach plus or minus holding hands depending on humidity, eating and sleeping. Someday she hopes to learn how to surf in the Pacific Ocean, like a real Californian!  Dr, Min lives with two 'borrowed' cats, Piper and Emmett.
