Dr. Laura Paasch was raised in California on a small farm where they had goats, chickens, pigs, cows, horses, dogs, cats, birds, and anything she could capture. Dr. Paasch has always been around, loved and respected animals and wanted to be a veterinarian as far back as she can remember. Dr. Paasch graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1994. In 2002, she added a love of Science and Medicine to her love for animals and went on to earn her Masters of Science in Biology, from California State University, San Bernardino. In addition to that she was able to pursue a new path as a college professor, which she continued throughout her veterinary school career. She graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada in 2007. After graduation, Dr. Paasch went on to complete an internship in Small Animal Medicine from VCA Animal Emergency Center of Arizona, Mesa.
Outside of work, Laura loves music and she is a drummer for a rock-n-roll band called The KeyTones. They have recorded several original songs at Five Towns College, in Long Island, and hope to have some live shows in NYC soon! She has three cats, all of which were rescued.
