Danica Salamun, Medical Director / Veterinarian

Dr. Salamun received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont in 1992. She then went on to Oregon State University, where she graduated in 1998, becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Subsequently she worked in Eugene, Oregon as a Small Animal Veterinarian until she moved back east with her husband, Dr. Eric Andersen, to be closer to family. They bought the Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic in 2004.

In addition to Small Animal Medicine, Dr. Salamun’s special interests include Dermatology, Dentistry and Behavior Consultations. She has also received specialized training in Diagnostic Ultrasound through one year of course work with Sound Technologies in 2006.

Dr. Salamun’s personal interests include hiking with her husband and two children. Along with her children, her animal family includes Lola the Pitbull Terrier and cats Red & Edward Teach (Black Beard the Pirate).
