Dr. Melissa Mausser, originally from Long Island, NY, stayed local to her hometown and attended St. Joseph's College to earn her Bachelor of Science. She then went on to graduate with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, St. Kitts, and finished her clinical year at North Carolina State University.

Dr. Mausser's interest in veterinary medicine is in surgery with special attention to orthopedic surgery, wound management/care, and emergency medicine. She is excited to return to her home state as an Associate Veterinarian at VREC Westbury. During her free time, Dr. Mausser enjoys horseback-riding, doing anything creative (from baking or drawing), and snuggling her cat, Leo.
