Theresa Schweiss, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Teri Schweiss is a 1991 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced at and co-owned a five doctor small animal and exotic pet veterinary practice in the Minneapolis area for eleven years prior to moving to South Dakota to raise her family. After six years in private practice in South Dakota, she relocated to Houston where she worked at the Houston SPCA before joining the team at VCA Spring Branch Animal Hospital. Dr. Schweiss's professional interests include all manner of exotic pet medicine and surgery, shelter and animal welfare medicine , and dentistry. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Schweiss enjoys her role as an active mom of three children. Her two sons and a daughter keep her active in sports, scouting and school. The family also shares their home with a collie, three cats, a Senegal parrot, a cockatiel and a ball python.
