Tara Larkin, Veterinarian

Dr. Larkin was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She attended Medaille College in Buffalo, NY where she was a dual major. She completed her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology in 2011 and a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2013. While completing her studies at Medaille, Dr. Larkin worked for Sheridan Animal Hospital as an assistant and a veterinary technician for 5 years. She subsequently attended Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Prior to starting at VCA Sheridan Animal Hospital in September 2019, Dr. Larkin completed an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Larkin's professional interests include surgery, emergency and preventative medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching Netflix, hiking and exploring with her husband and their 10-month-old Pitbull Mix named Loonie Tune.
