Taryn Abrams, Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Abrams earned her undergraduate degree in animal science (pre-veterinary studies) at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and her veterinary doctorate from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine with a clinical year at the University of Illinois. She completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists in downtown Manhattan.
Her professional interests include internal medicine and exotic mammals. Outside the hospital, Dr. Abrams loves reading and watching all things sci-fi and fantasy. She can be found at the latest art gallery opening, musical or indie rock concert. She lives in Park Slope with her wife and their two cats Sunny and Penny, a turtle named Charlotte and their senior Bichon mix Andre. Dr. Abrams has worked as a dog, cat and small mammal vet in Manhattan, Staten Island and Brooklyn.
