Heather Phillips, Medical Director

DVM

Dr. Heather Phillips was born and raised in San Diego, California. She graduated from Cornell University in 2009, with a BS in Animal Science, cum laude with distinction in research. She continued her studies in Veterinary Medicine at University of California, Davis. Following graduation in 2013 Dr. Phillips moved across the country once again to work at a 24hour emergency practice in Long Island, NY. After working there for 2 years she moved to small general practice on the Upper East Side. Dr. Phillips happily joined the Hope Animal Hospital Family in January 2016. Dr. Phillips professional interests include nutrition.

She currently lives in Crown Heights, Brooklyn with a shepherd/lab mix named Sydney, tabby cat named Finny and a Himalayan cat named Leo. Dr. Phillips is a runner and has run a handful of half marathons as well as the past two NYC marathons (in 2015 and 2016). In her free time she can be seen running in the park as she's always training for something, reading, going to museums and enjoying everything this amazing city has to offer.
