Melissa Goldberg
Medical Director
Dr. Melissa Goldberg earned a BS in biology at Rutgers College and her DVM from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Dr. Goldberg grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ, and has been practicing in the Philadelphia area since 1999. She lives in Glenside, PA, with her two sons, her partner, and his daughter. They share their home with two spoiled Basset Hound mixes and three entitled cats, all rescues.
Dr. Goldberg has worked in the veterinary industry since she was 14 years old. She started working as a volunteer cleaning cages, and had been a kennel attendant, receptionist, and veterinary assistant before going to veterinary school. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 7 years old, and can't imagine doing anything else with her life. She worked for over ten years with area cat rescues, and is a lifelong champion of pet rescue and adoption.
When she is not at work, Dr. Goldberg loves to read and spend time with her family. Her older son is in his first year at the US Military Academy, making her a new "military mom." Her younger son is thinking about pursuing a culinary career, so lately she tends to fill her weekends with college visits and Army football games.
