Dr. Michelle Metcalf, Medical Director

Dr. Metcalf joined VCA Adobe Animal Hospital in April 2013.  She is originally from Indiana and attended veterinary school at Purdue University.  She moved to California in 2003 and has had the opportunity to work at one of the specialty centers, The Veterinary Imaging Center of San Diego.  While there, she was involved with a research project with hyperthyroid cats that helped improve the success rate for treatment of feline hyperthyroidism.  It was also there that she became involved with VCA Adobe Animal Hospital, which led to her eventually becoming a part of the team.  

Outside of work, Dr. Metcalf enjoys crossfit, running, and traveling whenever she has time.  She currently has 2 cats, Pete and Sassy Pants, who like staying at home while she works.
