Dani Minick, Associate Veterinarian

DVM

At 4 years old I drew my own veterinary clinic in gel pens & ever since then knew I was going to be a veterinarian. Carrying frogs in my pockets, bringing home box turtles and having the endless stray dog/cat was a common theme in my childhood. Originally from Texas and an Aggie undergraduate, I have traveled the world to explore working with many different animals. I worked as a veterinary technician for 5 years prior to veterinary school and finally made the jump in 2015. I went to school at St. George's University in the Caribbean and had a clinical year at The Ohio State University. Recently, I finished my small animal medical & surgical internship at VCA ARECA in Mesa & I'm excited to start this new adventure at VCA University.

I currently have two dogs at home. My old gal Lucky, who just turned 14 years old, & my young boy Oyster, who I brought back from the Caribbean with me. They keep me pretty busy with playtime, cuddles, and hiking adventures. My favorite animal is a platypus, but I love working with all animals no matter the danger or size. Recently, I went to work with elephants in Thailand last year and have also worked with rhinos in South Africa. I enjoy working with exotics and continually learning more about animal care to provide adequate service for all pets big or small.

Education:
Texas A&M University: B.S. Zoology & B.S. Wildlife/fisheries.
St. George's University: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Clinical Year at The Ohio State University.
