Lisa Killian, Medical Director
Welcome to the team Lisa Killian!
Dr. Killian graduated from Texas A&M University in 1999 with a degree in veterinary medicine, and through her passion for high quality care and patient focused goals, she was made Medical Director at Banfield for 5 years, eventually expanding to cover 7 states! In order to grow her impact and to work with those pets that are in dire need of help, she moved to California and became VP of Veterinary Services at SF SPCA Mission Campus for 6 years.
She started with VCA as a staff veterinarian at VCA Animal Hospital of Cotati before joining our team as a medical director. We are excited to join with her to provide an even higher quality of medicine that she can bring. Lisa also specializes in fear free handling, allowing us to increase all of our patients veterinary experiences, especially those who are stressed out coming to the doctor.
She lives in Marin with her daughter Taylor, two dogs she adopted from Muttville, a senior dog rescue, and one cat from SFSPCA. Lisa enjoys reading, yoga, the beach, and roller coasters. She really loves to employ low stress and fear-free techniques to make our visits easier for pets and their families, allowing us to increase all of our patients veterinary experiences, especially those who are stressed out coming to the doctor. We are so happy to add Dr. Killian's bright personality and high quality of medicine to our team!
