Dr. Lovasz is very excited to join Northwest Veterinary Specialists team. Anesthesia and pain management in all animals has always been his greatest passion. He attended veterinary school at Ross University and completed his clinical training at Texas A&M University in 2012. Following veterinary school, Dr. Lovasz completed a one-year rotating small animal internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City in 2013. Dr. Lovasz continued to pursue a path in anesthesia and recently completed a three-year residency in anesthesia as well as a Master’s Degree in clinical veterinary science with the Ohio State University.
When not at Northwest Veterinary Specialists, Dr. Lovasz enjoys exploring Portland with his family, and spending time with his sphynx cats, Auggie and Thelma.
Anesthesiology
Anesthesia is the use of medicine to prevent the feeling of pain, provide muscle relaxation and produce a hypnotic state to create a state of unconsciousness during a surgical or dental procedure.
