Why I do what I do: "For the past 12 years I have been with VCA as a veterinary technician. 3 of those 12 years were devoted to working with the general practice patients at our hospitals in Elkton, MD and Glasgow, DE before making the transition to emergency/critical care in VCA Newark Animal Hospital's intensive care unit.

My love for animals started at an early age, and it was not long after finding and caring for a stray mommy cat with a litter of kittens that I decided what career path I wanted to take. Since that first experience I have volunteered at several shelters in our area doing my best to help our animal friends to be well and to find their forever homes and families. In my time with VCA I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience while working with an amazing team of caring and compassionate people."
