VCA Charities is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that directly help pets in need. Through its 27 Pet Food Pantry locations in 18 states, VCA Charities has helped to provide over 1.5 Million pet food meals to families who could not otherwise afford it. VCA Charities also provides free veterinary services, medication, and funding annually to over 100 humane societies, animal rescues, animal shelters, and service dog organizations across the country. Pet Food Pantry
The Pet Food Pantry program was created to provide nutritious dog and cat food in needy families to help keep their pets healthy and happy. The program has since expanded to 27 locations in 18 states. The mission of the Pet Food Pantry is to provide healthy, nutritious pet food to needy families that could not otherwise afford it. The Pet Food Pantry program currently provides over 40,000 lbs. of pet food annually, equivalent to 300,000 meals to animals in need.

Pennies for Pets
In 2010, VCA Charities launched the Pennies for Pets program. The mission of the Pennies for Pets program is to provide a platform for collecting donations so our hospitals can financially support worthy, local non-profit organizations. Pennies for Pets is a simple retail round up your bill, point of sale (POS) donation based program that further supports the mission of helping pets in need.

Angel Fund
The VCA Charities National Angel Fund was created to provide much needed financial assistance to families with pets in life threatening medical situations or in need of long-term veterinary care. Upon Angel Fund grant approval, up to $5,000 can be used at any US-based veterinary hospital for veterinary services.
