Evgeny Alexeev, Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Evgeny Alexeev was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. He graduated with an Honor Degree from Moscow Veterinary Academy and worked as a large animal practitioner in Russia for 10 years. Dr. Alexeev moved to Israel and worked in shelters helping to decrease the overpopulation of dogs and cats to prevent unnecessary euthanasia of unwanted pets. He spent 7 years in Canada as a small animal practitioner in a variety of clinics, including mixed practices, emergency hospitals, and shelters. Four years ago, he move to Florida to practice preventative medicine for dogs and cats.
His special interest is in veterinary surgery, especially soft tissue surgery which has led him to work in spay/neuter clinics and shelters helping TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) clinics as well.
Dr. Alexeev speaks Russian and he hopes to help Russian speaking clients better understand the advantages of wellness medicine and explain procedures in emergency cases.
During his spare time, Dr. Alexeev enjoys fishing, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time appreciating Florida's hot weather.
Dr. Alexeev's dog, Mitch, still lives in Toronto and he misses him very much. We are excited to welcome Dr. Alexeev to our family and know he will have many opportunities to share his passion for pet care with our So. Florida community.
