Genine Ervin-Smith, Medical Director
Dr. Genine Ervin is a Los Angeles native, and a 2007 graduate of Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, Dr. Ervin continued in her studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, to receive a Master of Public Health degree in Environmental and Global Health Sciences in 2008. Her journey in Veterinary Medicine began with Banfield Pet Hospital as an Associate DVM, Chief of Staff, and later promoted to the MidSouth Regional Director of Veterinary Quality over hospitals in Alabama, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Dr. Ervin has also worked in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry in the Research & Development department for Virbac US.
Dr. Ervin has a love for traveling and the arts! She and her husband have two children. A young daughter, Jordyn, and son, Dylan, in college. They also have one canine fur child named Cameron. She is enthusiastic about quality medicine and towards building confidence in others, and is excited to continue those efforts with the VCA family!
