"I have always had a great love for my own pets and wanted to help other pet owners with their pets, when they weren't feeling well. My goal every day is to do right by both the pet and the owner – the animal-human relationship is very important."

Emergency & Critical Care

VCA East Bay Veterinary Emergency offers emergency care for the pets of East Contra Costa County. If you suspect that your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, call us at 925-754-5001.

Our hospital is staffed to provide around-the-clock monitoring and nursing care for all hospitalized patients; your pet is never alone. Having advanced diagnostic equipment and an intensive care unit (ICU) provides lifesaving measures especially when your pet has an emergency and time is of the essence.

We feature an in house laboratory, ultrasound, surgical suite, digital x-rays and ICU (intensive care unit) to help ensure an accurate diagnosis and successful treatment for your pet in need.

Please use care when handling your pet if he or she has been injured. We encourage you to call us at 925-754-5001 before coming in so that we can prepare for your arrival. When you arrive at VCA EBVE, your pet will immediately be triaged so that we may determine his or her stability. If your pet needs to be hospitalized, the admitting veterinarian will discuss with you the proposed treatment plan.
