When Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is performed on a patient, a magnetic field is applied to the body to align particles within the tissues. The magnetic field is interrupted and the coils monitor the particles return to their nature alignment. This modality is ideal for evaluating tissues with various amounts of hydrogen, particularly water content. MRI is commonly used to examine the brain, spinal cord, spinal canal, muscles and soft tissues of the abdomen.

Diagnostic Imaging

Our hospital has state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment to give our team the tools needed to discover the source of your pet's illness as quickly and effectively as possible.

We have on-site digital x-ray (pictured) which allows us to take images that our doctor on shift can review immediately, and even submit for interpretation by a board-certified radiologist if something suspicious is noted.

Our facility is also equipped with an ultrasound unit that enables our team to image your pet's internal organs in great detail, giving us the ability to make well-informed decisions about how to treat as well as allowing us to give our clients the clearest possible idea of what may be going on with their pet.
