Dr. Scott grew up in Savannah, Georgia and received her Bachelor of Arts in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University, followed by a Juris Doctorate from University of Chicago Law School. Dr Scott practiced law in Chicago for five years, during which time she volunteered at Anti-Cruelty Society teaching dog obedience classes at night and working with the veterinarians on the weekends. It became clear that her real passion was with helping animals, so she decided to make the leap from law to veterinary medicine. She has never looked back. Dr. Scott then received her Bachelor of Animal Science from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, followed by Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Illinois.
Dr. Scott is a member of AVMA, ISVMA, and CVMA, a Fear Free certified veterinarian. Before joining the Blum family in 2019 Dr. Scott practiced medicine for over 9 years at different clinics in the Lakeview neighborhood.
Dr. Scott's veterinary passions include behavior and internal medicine.
Dr. Scott and her husband, Andrew have 3 children, 2 cats, and 1 dog. In Dr. Scott's free time she enjoys reading and being a soccer, figure skating, basketball and ninja mom.
