Gina Tierney, Staff Veterinarian

Dr. Tierney grew up in the Kansas City suburbs. From a young age she has fostered a love of animals leading to a menagerie of pets, large and small. She enjoyed her undergraduate years at the University Of Notre Dame while pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Tierney then continued on to her veterinary training in New England at the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she completed an equine and large animal internal medicine internship with Tufts. Dr. Tierney worked in equine medicine prior to transitioning to small animal practice. Dr. Tierney believes it is a wonderful gift to be able to nurture the bond between pets and their people by helping keep dogs and cats healthy. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Tierney resides in the West Loop and spends her free time adoring her senior rescue pup, Miss Indy. She also enjoys reading, singing, playing piano, attending musical theatre performances, and enjoying time with loved ones.
