Jessica Heuss, Veterinary Specialist

Dr. Jessica Heuss is so happy to be a member of the VCA ARECA team. She joined VCA ARECA in 2016 after completing an emergency & critical care residency at a busy private practice in Las Vegas. She is excited to continue to grow the emergency & critical care service at VCA ARECA and bring forth new modalities and treatment options to the most critically ill patients. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2011 and moved to Las Vegas for a rotating internship followed by specialty emergency & critical care internship prior to her residency. Falling in love with the climate, culture and people of the southwest, she was very happy to be able to remain in this part of the country. Dr. Heuss' professional interest include trauma, critical care ventilation and coagulopathy. 

Dr. Heuss serves as the internship director for VCA ARECA and is in direct support of advanced training of our associate clinicians. 

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Heuss enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her husband, 3 cats (Mercedes, Cooper & Aventador) and dog (Bentley).
