Christopher Monarski, Medical Director

Dr. Christopher Monarski is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and a Board Certified Surgeon in Small Animals. He is not only a surgeon but also our medical director at VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona. He first joined VCA ARECA in 2004, and has been helping to advance veterinary medicine in our community through his residency-related teaching and research projects. His unique qualifications also include 2 years as an associate veterinarian and 1 year as medical director in general practices prior to seeking advanced training. His previous work experience gives him an excellent perspective when dealing with clients and veterinarians in the community.

He has special interest in minimally invasive procedures such as arthroscopy, tracheal and urethral stenting and laparoscopy. Dr. Monarski is a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine. He also completed a small animal surgical internship in 2005 and a residency in small animal surgery in 2008. He enjoys all aspects of orthopedics and soft tissue surgery and is committed to high quality, compassionate medicine in combination with proactive client education.
